In August of 2012, the University of Minnesota Extension, the Minnesota NCR-SARE program and the Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture will again collaborate to host the 4th annual tour of urban agriculture projects in the Twin Cities area.
For the 4th Annual Urban Agriculture Bus Tour we will visit a variety of urban agriculture locations in the Frogtown Neighborhood of St Paul. The day will have two components. The first part will be the tours and will include one of Stone’s Throw Urban Farms’ market garden sites, Amir’s Garden (a community demonstration garden), Holistic Health Farm’s high tunnel, and University of Minnesota’s Student Organic Farm. The second part of the day on the U of MN St. Paul Campus will include lunch, a panel discussion and networking time. Credit card payment is not available, so please pay by cash or check at the door. Space is limited to 70 people and registration by August 10th is required.
If you would like further information about the urban ag tour, would like to be included in a future tour, or would like to organize a similar event in your own region (including cities and towns outside of the metro area!) contact the event organizer (listed below.)
